It goes without saying that this is a shameless nod to Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's Oblique Strategies cards, developed in the mid 1970s as a creative aid in moments of acute stuckness. These have all been devised by me as I've noted what impasses I frequently encounter in my own writing and what helps me break past them, a mixture of denying and coddling my own tendencies.
